Some of our previous events
include:
SLPC
went to Iona - thirty-three members of our surprisingly lively
congregation headed off to the Inner Hebrides for a week of Spiritual
renewal under the watchful gaze of Norman Shanks, leader of the Iona
Community. It was exciting and challenging in equal measure. The group
took the chores seriously, danced and sang, and were found on more than
one occasion in the pub! It was a week of renewed faith and encouraged
the building of stronger relationships with God and with one another. We
met some new friends and most people would do it all again, tomorrow!
"The
Seventies Night" - Disco music from the 1960s and 1970s was
appreciated by many enthusiastic members of our congregation
"Danish Experience" - We learnt something of Denmark,
enjoyed some entertainment and typical Danish food, then closed with a
short act of worship. It was good to welcome new friends who had seen
this event mentioned on the web site.
Olive Drane, a
Christian clown, participated in a Sunday morning worship. Her smile,
costume and style of worship was enjoyed by those who attended the
service, especially the children.
