Background story:

After Jesus had died, his friends called Peter and John were teaching people that Jesus had risen from the dead. Beside them stood a lame man who had just been completely healed by them.

The Jewish leaders and priests were cross about this and asked how they had done this. Peter and John told them that the man had been made well through the power of Jesus' name. Jesus, who had risen from the dead, had healed the man.
