Every Sunday throughout the year teams of volunteers, of all ages, provide hot breakfasts to people in need. The breakfasts are provided in the Church Halls from 9.30 am to 10 am.
The breakfast consists of - tea, coffee, soup and a hot roll. When available, service users receive a bag of groceries to take away.
We have been providing this service for almost 20 years to meet a need within the community, initially to give the homeless a hot breakfast but this has extended to anyone who would benefit. We also try to give a small gift at Christmas and Easter.
On Christmas Day we also provide a lunch for those in need or anyone who would be on their own. In the past we have catered for 80 people on the day.
Volunteers who run the breakfasts come from both the Congregation and the wider community and without their help this vital service would not be possible.
