At South Leith Parish Church we are a diverse group of people -

young and old, creative and caring, practical and purposeful,

employed and unemployed, traditional and contemporary,

single, divorced, with partners, married,

Scottish, Polish, English, African, Irish.

Together we live out our faith, making space for variety in what we do, how we worship and in the ways we serve and care for the community.

The people who help us in our work are –

Our parish minister Ian Gilmour he hails from Glasgow. Ian has been with us since September 1995

Our associate minister Louise Duncan. Originally from Ireland Louise has lived in Scotland of the past 15years and has been with us since October 2003

Our hall keeper Freddy Henderson ,is a caring committed South Leither who relates well to everyone.

Our beadle Stuart Gardiner. Stuart comes from Newhaven (which Leithers should not hold against him !) and is an elder at Newhaven Parish Church.

Our office secretary, Marsine Kousarieh, is from Edinburgh, qualified in Business Administration and has a degree in Business Finance. Marsine is also working on a career in Sustainable Development, tackling environmental and social issues within a business context.

Our organist, choir master and all round music maestro William Watt hails from East Lothian.

Our Business Development Manager June Dickson.

We also have . . . elders who make up our leadership team, the Kirk Session.

The rest of our team are our 685 members, many of whom are active in the life of both our community and congregation
