Boys' Brigade News
The Company Section has just returned from their weekend
camp at Craggan on Loch Tay. We enjoyed glorious sunshine
throughout our stay and all the boys enjoyed activities from
canoeing, kayaking, a trip on a speed boat and various mental
and physical challenges that the staff set, with the highlight
being, pulling the minibus out the car park after the Captain
took a wrong turn in the dark and got the bus stuck in the
mud. We lost one shoe in the process and had a pile of dirty
clothes before the task was complete. The drill squad
managed to come third this year with 92 points before
heading off to camp.
The Junior section also had their drill competition on the
same night and came a very respectable fifth .They did
manage to come second in the swimming gala last month
with James Burt winning the backstroke event. They will be
back at Fordell Firs for their weekend camp and 16 boys have
already signed up. Thankfully I’m not doing the driving this
time but I am assured the car park is covered in tarmac.
