Afternoon Meeting

The Choir is an integral part of worship every Sunday. We meet for practices each Thursday evening at the Church between 7:30pm and 9:30pm from October through to June.

We sing a wide variety of music during worship - leading the congregation in hymns and anthems, both ancient and modern. Our repertoire includes Bach, Mozart, Stainer, Mendelssohn, Rutter and much more.

Who is a 'typical' member?
There is none ! We welcome anyone who can sing in tune; the ability to read music is, of course, an advantage, but is not essential. We have a wide age range and although recently 5 members of the congregation joined us, we still have vacancies in all parts, soprano, alto, tenor, bass, and would be delighted to welcome further new members.

What else do we do?
We take part in concerts and other events outwith the Church e.g. for weddings, at Old Peoples' Homes, to other organisations and churches.

We regularly participate in joint services with other Churches - at Christmas and Easter with our near neighbours St Mary's.
